I think Pema gets quite defensive when this is brought up and quick to agree to it on the surface and says “you have to be okay with paradoxes”. I thought she had thoughtful answers for basically everything else and her tone was open and curious. Where here it seemed frantic

I’d like to find a thinker who addresses this well. The best I can do is say “the teaching is not one and you meet a student where they are”
